The website on which this Policy and Term of Use is hosted, owned and managed by Kaya Africa Holdings as the founding member for the Africa Wetu Foundation-NPC (“Africa Wet Foundation”, “AWF”).
Your Information: In the course of using the website, AWF may ask you to provide certain information, including contact information, such as your name, address, and e-mail address; you may be asked to complete a registration form and provide personally identifiable information; you may also be asked to choose a user ID and password in order to take advantage of certain features of the website (Donor form or website). Participation in registration is voluntary and you will have the opportunity to decide whether or not to disclose information to the website.
Site Usage Information: Whenever you use this website, certain types of internet usage information may be received and stored; information from your browser, including your IP address, pages visited, the length of time you spend on the site, and files you download is recorded in the website server logs. However, no personal information is collected during the tracking process.
E-mail Information: In the course of general operations, AWF may send you e-mails, or you may send e-mails to AWF. AWF keeps track of these e-mails, and information associated with these e-mails.
Third party service providers may process information, fulfil and deliver orders, process donations and credit card payments, and provide support services on our behalf. Where such details are shared, agreements in place restrict the use of your information to the purpose for which it is provided and ensure it is stored securely and in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
One of our main providers is Stripe in the USA, which provides support in delivering its Services, Stripe engages third party service providers to assist Stripe with its data processing activities and as defined in our Stripe Services agreement. When Stripe works with these service providers in their capacity as a data processor for their User’s personal data, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) calls these third-party service providers a sub-processor. Sub-processors are service providers who have or potentially will have access to or process personal data on behalf of Stripe. Financial Records and Card Details: All financial payments and records are held in accordance with The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI DSS”). All credit/debit card donations made online or by phone, are made securely through third party service providers and payment gateways, which comply with the PCI DSS. Unredacted card details are not recorded and stored on our systems.
We do not store unredacted financial details (credit or debit card numbers) obtained through online transactions nor do we pass any information to third parties, except where we are legally required to do so, to assist fraud reduction, or to provide a service requested and minimize credit risks.
Refund Policy: All donations are final. Donations are not refundable.
